This year’s christmas was a special one. I only had a couple of days off of work, but it was an amazing couple of days. Definitely one I won’t forget. I used half of my free days traveling but it’s never not worth it coming home. Christmas is always a wonderful time of the year, and this one was extra awesome.
Family is what made this holiday (like every other holiday) really memorable. Every
year day I’m thankful for having a family like mine. It must be one of my favorite things in life. I can’t think of anything better… except maybe having my extended family altogether as well. Family+Christmas = very merry.
And then there’s the gifts and the awesome traditional food you get to eat once a year. But those things wouldn’t mean anything without the people you love and care for around you. It’s the best gift of all time. In my case, we don’t get to see each other every day, week or month. Living in different countries, even continents isn’t easy. But it really makes me appreciate the time I have with them.
All together for Christmas☃️
Buuut don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the food. Eating delicious christmas food and dessert all day everyday is my jam. Salty, sweet.. then back to salty. Or just sweets all day long ‘cus it’s christmas! And when you’ve had enough all you really need is just a nap or visit to the toilet and your good to go for another round! 😜
This year our family decided to stay in a cabin for the holidays. best. decision. ever. All 11 of us in one cabin. It was awesome! We got snow on Christmas Day, and we went skiing. I fell so many times that I lost count and I’m super sore. But it was nothing but fun… even if I sucked. 😅
Now I’m back in Germany, which has its own charm during the holidays with all the Christmas markets everywhere. But nothing’s like home.🤷🏽♀️ Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas with their nearest and dearest ones🎄
