3-Ingredient Chia Pudding 🥄

You may or may not have heard of chia pudding, but chia are these tiny black seeds that give a pudding-y consistency when soaked in liquid. And apparently these seeds are a superfood and very healthy. The reason I wanted to try it is that it’s an extremely easy breakfast/brunch and snack. I’ve been seeing it everywhere on the internet so I decided to give it a go, and I’m really glad I did!

3 ingredients is all you need for a pudding you can enjoy any time of the day. It’s a breakfast that fills you up, and a snack you can enjoy whenever you crave something sweet! If you’ve read my other recipes you know how I love easy, delicious and versatile breakfasts… and this one can’t get any simpler.


4 tbsp chia seeds

1 cup milk (or any liquid)



Chia + add-ins + liquid = pudding

All you gotta do is put your chia seeds in a glass/container, add in anything you want (I put cocoa because why not, along with some honey) and finally, refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.


Here’s how it looks like after the chia seeds soak up all of the liquid. This chocolate pudding was surprisingly good! I topped it with shredded coconut ’cause you just can’t go wrong with chocolate and coconut.

What’s so great with this recipe is that you don’t have to put lots of effort in it, at all. The refrigerator is where the magic happens. It’s quick to whip up and THE perfect to-go breakfast. For busy mornings and lazy people like me.

I also tried it a second time around with my beloved oats in the pudding and it’s a game changer! I love my overnight oats and the chia seeds just makes it sooo much better. It gives it that extra crunch, and just look at that ooey gooey goodness:

Ok so technically you only need 2 ingredients to make the pudding. Amazing, I know. That’s the base and from there you can go crazy and add in whatever you want! I used coconut milk in this recipe but any kind of milk works. Yoghurt is amazing as well. You can use it for a more creamier consistency. I tried mine with vanilla yoghurt and I really recommend trying it!

Quick and delicious. This must be the easiest dessert I’ve ever made. Plus, it turns out to be healthy as well😉
